We’re in the Matrix, and the Democrats are the Machines

In the aftermath of the short-lived, but politically potent, government shutdown, we learned some shocking news: Democrats plan to try to use the leverage they (think) they gained from the whole sordid affair to raise taxes:

Emboldened Senate Democratic leaders are planning to go on offense on raising taxes. [ . . . ]

Congressional Democrats want Republicans to sign off on $50 billion worth of tax increases to eliminate the sequester’s automatic spending cuts. The next phase of these ...
